paint around the decal 5mm band, is lighter than rest of lid, implying previous (Norge?) decal has been removed before new alder, IMO.

I believe this helmet to be one of the many M40 and M42 helmets sprayed inside and out with the tan paint for postwar use. It is believed by some that they were ordered by the Egyptian Army post WWII but it is debatable.
Postwar painted for another military's use, original condition liner and strap, the eagle is indeed real, uncovered. They just took apart the WWII configured helmets and sprayed them up trop tan.

                        Hello Ola!
This is a helmet used by Norwegian air-force post war.
Some of the early helmets used by Norwegian postwar,
wasnt sandblasted.thats why the decal and orginal paint sometimes
are under the Norwegian air-force brownish paint.

                        Best regards

                        Erik
