The rank name Oberjäger can be for an Fj personal or a Lw Fielddivision. But it can also concern an HG division man... Specialy for an helmet found in Italy.

It has always amazed me how neat the Germans wrote their names in their helmets. This one is a prime example. I wish I could paint that neatly.

Very nice helmet. Here is a link to a m-42 helmet of mine in which I found a complete camo cover between the liner & dome which matches the remanants of yours. I hope the link works.
