Just one question from a newbie.

On the luft decal, I see the eagle's left wing edge folded down,
the beak folded down and an arm of the swastika folded in.
It would have had to have been poorly applied like that originally???
It cant be from use or the edges would have just worn off and not folded.
Am I seeing that right.
Help me on this one.

It is from the application of the decal. When it was patted down to the helmet surface and adhered, some of the edges were flipped up and dried that way. It is not uncommon, especially on the unwieldly Luft eagles.
