Indeed a very nice one, and there's still a lot of the original laquer on it.
      Beautiful!

But you said you bought it on eBay.
Is Ebay loosening their German militaria policies or are you still lucky if one auction slips through the checking?

      Best regards,
      Martin

dave you have no problem it will be winging its way to you tomorrow.
i hope you enjoy it as much as i did,i have only sold it to finance another purchase got my eye on an ss m40 from a good dealer in dulwich.if you list a german helmet on ebay and it gets pulled you can never list another as your account is flagged,i set up a new account and thats how it slipped by i know you have no feedback but if you can send diffrent pics to potential buyers then thats fine
very nice doing buisness with you thanks again

I've sold quite a few on ebay. Had only one pulled. The only decal allowed is a National. Any other decal even if the offending portion is covered as in a Luft decal with just the birdy showing will be pulled. Show no decals and you won't have a problem.

I heard Ebay employees (using alias accounts) sometimes ask sellers to send them better pics of items you are selling.
If you then send them uncensored pics showing decals with swastikas or runes, your auctions will still be pulled.

Is this a myth or has anybody experience?

Damn, all that trouble just because of a helmet.
If you sell a Roman legionair helmet everybody starts drooling, even non-militaria enthousiastics.
Seems everybody forgot what the Romans did with Christians, Jews and the rest of the world.
Except for the lions everybody sufferd from the Romans!

                So what's the difference?
                A few centuries?

                Best regards,
                Martin
