Heer M43 on For Sale estand

Would like to get some opinions on the Heer on the estand. Good ones usually jump out at me right away and this one does not based on what construction I see so far. Link below:

There was an identical one up for opinions on Germandaggers.com. Same RBn markings and construction, but Luftwaffe blue. I am really not crazy about that one either.

Not enough there for me to tell, I would hold a doubt until I could see more detailed pictures. Looks like a Mint one if real, buttons have 100% of their paint.

I hear that about finding a textbook one Mike. I too have been looking along time but they all seem to have issues, but most of the time they just dont come around. I am not saying this one is bad for I cant comment as I am still learning of these. wouldnt be fair of me to pass judgement either way here. Glenn

Thanks for your comments. I'll post some more photos and you guys be the judge. I purchased the cap from a established and reputable dealer. I'm not really into hats, but it seemed similar enough to others that I have seen. Although there aren't any exact comparisons it seems similar to the one in Gary Wilkins books. I appreciate your comments, either way.

Thanks Phil for posting more photos. BN Singer is more experienced than me, so perhaps he can weigh in, as I value his opinion.

In addition to the eagle looking freshly applied, the stitching under the bill is not what I would expect. It may be the lighting too, but the color of the cap is more to green than feldgrau is that correct? As was mentioned, the stamps are unusual and identical to the cap Luft cap on GDC I previously referenced. The lining is also worthy of discussion as I have not encountered an original with that type of lining.

                          Jeff,
I think you are right about the color more green than feldgrau. It does appear to be a carbon copy of the Luft on GD.

Thank you Phil for the additional pictures and thank you "Colorado" for you kind comments (although perhaps you have spoken too soon)!

I am sorry to be a disappointment but, even with the additional pictures, there is just not enough for me to feel comfortable with a condemnation of the hat.

Markings aside (I cannot comment on these) the hat does not indicate that it is a total reproduction. I have seen examples with a very similar type of lining (although maybe not Exact). I must however, still say (and I admit, perhaps unfairly) that I harbor reservations.

Would it be possible to have some more shots of the hat (front and back) with the ear flaps pulled down, inside pictures of the ear flaps, better pictures of the underside of the visor and perhaps a close up of the sewing of the buttons.

In addition, I have to also thank Phil for not biassing the hat or the dealer by making that "source information" public. It really should have no bearing in the evaluation of an item.
