That helmet looks fake to me.

It looks like the palm tree/swastika is carved into the helmet- that's not why I think it's fake though.

Interesting thread. From what I gather, Germans had ample leeway to camouflage their helmets in diverse patterns and colors; however, Germans did not appear to have the same leeway in being able to paint their unit-specific stencils (with the exception of the rare FJ comets). As a result, I think it is very unlikely to see a bona fide AK stencilled helmet.

Hello all, a friend has given me this helmet, and it looks really credible. He told me that this comes from a man that has had it for last 15 years, and he is not a collector.

A good friend has told me that he has some doubts about it, and for him is not original. I would like to know you opinion about it. The inside and the chin strap are not good.
