Tell Ebay that you bought an SS helmet there!

Take it from me, (yes Ebay is a flood of fakes with few exceptions) I've been kicked off Ebay four times and come back each time using my wife's of kid's names...almost out of spite. Before they banned Third Reich items, I made a good honest buck there. It was like a 24 hour militaria show with some actual great originals BUT then they changed their policy. They own PayPal also and both entities are on a crusade of ignorance to stamp out all association with Nazi items. I have tried to reason with them but they do not give a crap about you if you are selling anything obviously Nazi or if they pick it up on their radar. Also there are plenty of whining snitches ready and willing to report you. I just had an auction for the most beautiful LW gravity knife anyone's ever seen CANCELLED after less than 24 hours ( they informed me it was a switch blade). PayPal is cancelling accounts of militaria dealers left and right because of what they sell. Sorry to ramble but my point is....If you complain about a Nazi helmet or anything else Third Reich to these "people", they're going to put you off with form e-mails or ignore you till you go away. worse yet they'll suspend your membership. They seem to represent the general misunderstanding of our hobby. Good luck. Ned

Gerd I'm sorry it happened to you but what do you want us to do?
The transaction was on ebay and if we hold guys accountable for actions or behavior outside this forum many more would have to go to be fair.
Gerd thankfully your not out any money and the person was exposed.

Perry I think you have been just and right I feel sorry for Gerd but he has lost no money and has probably gained respect with the restrained and humble way he has dealt with the matter.

I would also say that its sad a fellow collector has been exposed when he had the oppurtunity to hold his hands up and say he had cocked up . But he didnt and since its probably obvious more sinister means were at hand.

                This story isn't finished yet!!

Two weeks ago another Ebayer contacted me. He saw I had left D. Crouch negative feedback and he wanted to know what I know about this crook... Why did he ask? Well, because Derek Crouch has ripped this guy of as well... No, this time not with a good SS helmet, but with one of the other things he had listed on Ebay: one of the rare coins... And Yes, this did happen a few days AFTER the helmet stunt and after the start of this topic...
The buyer paid about 900 USD to this man and never heard from him again...
The other Ebayer agreed I put this on this forum as well...

Here is a screenshot of his message he send to my Ebay acount

Here is a screenshot of the auction page

Yes, that other ebayer will go to court with it... He agreed I put it up here hoping this would be enough to expell the guy... It's obvious he's a big liar... Or did a hacker put this auction on Ebay as well??? (Remember I did ask Derek Crouch on these coin auctions before their end... And I'm very curious on the outcome of the 2 other german helmet he sold before the end of the ebay auction... )

                Kind regards,
                Gerd

Its funny that people can still get away with this deliberate hoax and never get in trouble by Ebay - Ebay cancels auctions that don't even have a swastika but let a crook like that continue to make money without any recourse - amazing...-C

I think its a shame that this forums dont care enough to ban the people who act like this, or at least suspend them, ...and if you notice , no comments by the seller.. its people like these that we all hate to deal with when they mess up, as we all have, and dont follow thru, and I guess like the max show, no one is concerned really about the honest collectors that are the buyers, and the ripp offs keep changing names, and even continue business as usual. When will we all have the cajones to save the wheat, and throw off the chaff? its time to move into the 21st century, and we will all be better off, when people who deal poorly , like the ones this fiasco is about, have consequences for such actions, otherwise we are no better than other forums.
