    My Favorite Group

This is a grouping I got from my fathers uncle. He was a rifleman in the ETO and had a chance to bring back some really cool stuff.

First up is the apple green M35 it is formerly a DD but the decals look to have been sanded off only the faintest outline can be seen. With a flashlight you can just make out the acceptance stamp in the dome of the helmet. It is a Q62 with 2932 at the back of the skirt. The split pins look to be brass. The Liner band is marked:

    Berl.Kofferfabrik
    INH. Max Densow
    Berlin 1936

The M42 is a ckl 4118 Nice paint on it, no chinstrap. it doesn't look like it ever had any decals on it. is that common? The liner is marked with a 57 size stamp but i couldn't find a size stamp on the shell.

There is an RZM marked cross strap. Not sure what organization may have used it. Maybe HJ. Strap is marked RZM L2/256/39 and the metal clasps are stamped RZM M5c/93/16

The GAB is a f.o. marked example.

The cool thing is the theater made fightning knife that he carried. The handle is made out of aluminum but the doesn't have markings. The blade doesn't have markings either.

Well hope you like the items as much as I do. Any comments or info you can give me on them would be great

    Chris

Rougeux, would enjoy seeing your items, but you need to become a member ($25 per year) to be able to post. It is definitely worth it, in my honest opinion. Alternatively, you can send your pics to a member so he/she can post them on your behalf.
