Good vs fake runes

I'm sure this isn't a new request but I just can't find any good examples. Could some of you guys with authentic ss helmets post a pic of your decals and maybe a pic of something you know is fake? High quality fakes are almost impossible for my untrained eye to spot. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one that would appreciate such edification.

Sorry i can't help you, but would like to se that to. And maybe how you se if its a ET SS decal,Q SS decal and so on.

The reason you'll won't find an expose' on good versus bad SS decals is because of the amount of money involved. No one wants to help the faker on a helmet board.

SS Steel by Kelly Hicks is very good in answering the questions you have. With a little patience you can get quite a good collection of photos of originals right here. File them away for reference. If there is an ESPECIALLY dangerous fake, save that also.

With alittle study most fakes are relatively easy to spot. Regardless, if I had the money to invest in an SS helmet, no matter HOW good it looked I would want the private opinion of four, possibly five collectors that know there stuff. All but one frequent this board.

if you look and follow the forum for a while you will see some nice SS helmets between the dross.

But SS steel is a must.
