I feel OK about the shell, but any opinions on the liner? Seller does claim it's been field repaired:

With these liner pics provided I can't really tell wether it's original or not.
You should ask for some good close ups of it.
The rest of the helmet is ok

The larger sized liners were often factory produced with an extra patch of leather added, due to late war material shortages/economy measures.
