firstly can i say i don't like the look of this helmet looks like the paint's been been jazzed up to look old and worn were the wire has rubbed ..but i may be wrong would need more pic's

Could you please explain how it would be possible to rub the paint or bake it or alter it in such a way under each wire crossing? Unfortunately I cannot get more pictures at the moment, but I dont know what else might be needed.

Helmet has classic chemical peel. Wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.

Looks like some kind of acid was used in an attempt to age the wire.

oh man, that's pooh. Surprised none of the eBay numbnuts are going after it though. Not scrubbing the lifted paint off with a bristle brush was a mistake. Maybe next time he will.
