    Sos

I wanted to start a thread and give a little run down of the SOS from my perspective and incourage others to add to it.
I will have to say this is one if not the best show I ever attended in terms of finding killer camo's for my collection and hanging out with good friends. In terms of sheer size this one is a winner hands down. Its so large I would loose where dealers tables were located even though I was just there. Its hard to believe there were some 50 people that couldnt get a table because of a early sell out. This is in my opinion the top US show.
Helmets were strong here. Nice DD Luftwaffe helmets, SD Luft. and Army helmets were plentiful all the way up till I left Sat morning. A few DD army helmets were there but the best ones were gone by Sat. morning. Some nice camo's were pulled out of this show as well and several mid-level camo's were there. SS helmet prices were very strong, a few killer SD SS helmets were over the $6K mark. There was a crisp SS reissue there along with a handfull of nice SD SS helmets around the $5K mark.
Heck I even picked up a real nice picklehaube.
Just about all the good stuff seemed to be picked up by Friday afternoon.
There were some good deals left on SD army and Luft helmets Sat though. Thursday and early Friday was fast paced as everyone was trying to locate the good stuff in such a huge show, it was easy to miss something.
I didnt take as many pictures as I was busy the first two days but managed to take a few Sat. before I left. Feel free to add comment about the show or add more pictures.

Here's the view as you enter the complex walking from the hotel.

Sensory overload....it was mindblowing this year! Tons of collectors and tables filled with stuff....so many helmets I could not decide. Beau coup M.35's, Q's seemed especially plentiful, several nice SS commanding big bucks, I saw a nice EF M.42 SS for $4700, a Q SS M.35 for 10K, Wolfe/Hardins Himmler style blackie for 25K....expect no mercy, one helluva show this year. I came home with a pre war, M.35(NS) Marine Coastal Police from Larry M's table. I walked nonstop from 9:15 till 4 and my dogs were bark'n.

Man, I have to go to some of these shows! I missed the last MAX Show and am still smarting over it. Does anyone know if this year's MAX is going to be in Charlotte as well?
