                    Hello Jens,

                    please provide some extra photos:
total view of the entire net, spreaded out,
a few detailed ones of the fabric without flash.

                    Regards,
                    Marcel

hi Jens. it looks pretty good but I cant say for sure with the pics you posted. check out this thread, http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=122671

is the net made up of different twine (hemp) or all the same? trying squeezing it into a tight ball and see if it keeps the shape or springs back out. Glenn

These are just the pics I got from the guy who offered it to me. I will post some better pics as sson as it arrived. Will also try squeezing it togther and look what happens.

                          Many thanks Jens

                            helmet net

Greetings Jen: From the photos provided the net seems to have a very high shine which to me indicates oil in the twine or newly produced . Period produced nets are usually very dull, dry and brittle. The net should also have a camo color application within the fabric itself . This should be evident when looking at the net on the helmet. There should be a variation in the colors of the net construction.Part of the net should have a natural colored twine while part of it should be a darker brown or olive green. The yellow tie cord (which has to be yellow) that is entwined, should be of a different material and a tighter woven construction which is smaller in diameter. Finally the metal hooks on the net should be made of a non-corrosive material which should not rust, but will tarnish or possibly surface discolor ,but not pit in. I hope this assists you. Best regards!
                            Zeke

Zeke is correct with all His statements here. after looking at the pics again, I would agree that the twine is abit shiny in these pictures and the metal shouldnt really be rusted. I hope that you do have a gaurentee on it just ion case you dont like it when it arrives. post some good pics when you have it in hand. Glenn
