    Where are they now????

Hi all. I recently posted a picture of a helmet I own on another thread and received a pleasant surprise. My helmet (LW second pattern) appears in a book on German Helmets and another member, Bob Lyons, recognised my helmet as he owns the LW (first pattern) pictured next to mine. He was kind enough to provide a current picture so we could also see his. Seeing these two helmets as they were pictured then and how they are today, gave me an idea for a thread.
We have probably all read through the older reference books and publications and admired these helmets and wondered where they are now and how they look today. Are they safe and sound in collections or have they just disappeared?
I would like to start a "Where are they now?" thread. Let's see a picture of the helmet in a publication and a picture of the same helmet as it is today.
I will kick off with the two mentioned above. They appear side by side in German Helmets 1933- 1945, A Collectors Guide by Goodapple, Maertz and Weinand , page 146. Both helmets are now happily living in Australia.
    Cheers
    Alan

I think your helmet would look a lot better sitting on the shelf next to my example, here in good ol' Greensborough!!!

Heck, I'll even pay for the postage, (generous to a fault!!)

Being serious just for a second,... it is good to see them together again, glad you posted them for us all to see.

Best wishes for the coming New Year

        Bob
