    eagles, eagles, eagles....

Hi Guys, I always get confused with these different types of cap eagles...I have two here, that are almost the same as far as I am concerned, but one is smaller than the other...what is the difference between the two?? Were they for different organisations???? Both are made by Assmann. Please help.... Cheers, Torsten.

PS: The first one shown is the bigger one om4, with a wingspan of 2 5/8".

this is the smaller one of the two om2. It also has a wingspan of 2 5/8", but it is much more slender than the first one I have shown....

The top one is a political eagle and the bottom one is army. Both are repros.

The back tells you more than the front. Original Assmann badges are crisp stampings with a sharp logo. The logos on these badges looks like they were chewed out and the badges are crudely cast.

You are right Mark: both eagles are repro. The quality is very different from original ones, details of which are generally very good. The pins on the back are also inappropriately large and thick.

Not very good news for a Christmas evening. Sorry

                  All the best

obviously not a good thing that they are both fakes, but good thing that I put them up here, while I can still get back to the seller of these...as I only just received them...thanks for your help... Cheers, Torsten.
