My One and Only EREL Visor

I just picked this up in a trade last week and wanted to get your opinions. I read all the threads on EREL Visors as well as the Wilkins book. It appears to be good IMHO. But to be honest Visor Hats aren't my strong suit. Its a non vented piece. The outside is in great condition. the inside shows damage. I think this was due to poor postwar storage. The leather sweatband has dried and become very fragile. anyway any opinions are welcomed.Regards Jim

Hi Jim, IMO, your hat appears to be a good one. True, if not stored correctly the leather can deteriorate faster than cloth.

Looks like a good Erel to me. I might be wrong on this but I believe the Erel logo on the sweat band is the correct one for the non-vented visor. I think the markings for the vented version are “Erel strinschutz, D.R.G.M, D.R.P.angem”.
