sweat shield

hi all
has anyone had any luck in trying to read faded print on a clear plastic dimond sweat shield? is there a right way to do this?
the sweat shield is in a fine black wool hj m43 cap, i have no dought that the caps real but it would be nice to find out the info printed on the sweat shield

If you hold the cap so that light shines obliquely on the diamond, you can sometimes see the name well enough to read it.
