my new helmet, look at it

hi im a newby in this hobby, so i dont want to take so much risks, so let me tell you about my new adquisition:
its a repainted m42 et64, the linner is a reproduction, no decals.
this is my first helmet and i need to know first how it looks, before go beyond,
probably lot of you are thinking what a waste of time reading these guy, but let me tell you that im happy with it.

All depends on how much you paid, but the shell looks nice and the new paint job and repro liner is well done so,

i paid 80 US dlls, came from the czeck republic, it was used in the civil defense and painted black,(of course) the wrong color was stripped out by a sand procedure and repainted.

Well done you got a good cheap late war m42 shell to start off with,i hope you have many years of enjoying collecting german helmets,James/IRELAND U COULDNT HAVE PICKED A BETTER SITE TO GLEAN EXSPERIENCE FROM OTHER EXSPERIENCED COLLECTORS ,MY TIP TO YOU IS GET A JOTTER AND TAKE DOWN POINTS ON REGOCNIZING GENUINE DECALS EXT AND HAVE IT WITH YOU WHEN A NEW POTENTIAL PURCHASE COMES ALONG.
