From this distance and on my screen it looks like a modern reproduction of the Quist "Bigfoot" Heer decal.

being a double decal M40 helmet makes it dubious in my eyes.
they are very very very very rare.

I think the decal lacks a metallic look. It looks too plain grey.

The national shield decal , the red part should be red not pink.

thanks, it isnt mine btw, was considering buying it, i thought the flag looked very suspicious, but the left decal looked ok imho.

                thanks again.

absoloutly, i dont buy anything unless im 100% sure what im buying is the real deal.

it sold non the less on ebay for 400 eur. feel sorry for the fella who paid for it.

The eagle is a well known reproduction. This one lacks in detail..I don't have an original one in my files anymore but just do a search on the forum and you will quickly see the differences

The tri-colour shield is also a well known reproduction. is doesn'T have the layers an original one should have..

                      Kind Regards,
                      Dennis

thanks for all the help gentelmen.

currently im finding helmets left and right, most of which are SS, ie fake, when people want 400 eur for a suspicious looking SS helmet you cant help laughing at them.

but i still dont know truly all the fakes yet, can someone please tell me whats the main character flaws is on this one.

                        thanks again.

Main character flaws..... This decal (and the helmet) is one big character flaw

Try to spend some cash for good reference books first. There is a very good one from Kelly Hicks about SS helmets for example.

Not seen a good one for Heer and Luftwaffe until today, but there are at least 2 members who have some good reference pages on their websides for a (first) compare.
