The Sig runes look as though they are sitting on the background almost raised.... I'd say the decals are took thick....

      Cheers

I agree with both comments above. To me, this appears to be the "crushed glass" repro of the 1st pattern runes that has been highly toned and distressed. I would definitely pass on this helmet.

gee thanks guys I was also planning on making a thread about this helmet.
I had my doubts about it as well, but I thought he had a good reputation.

...He's ruined his reputation more than once.

I think is just to write and to discuss
this helmet and not the dealer, never
                judge others that cannot answer...
"six italians, dressed in rather unusual diving suits and equipped with materials of laughably little cost have swung the military balance of power in the Mediterranean in favour of the Axis".

                  Quex,

That is partly true. However, when you intentionally deceive time after time while claiming to be a 'helper' and resource (i.e. author, reference website etc.) to the collecting community that tells a lot about you.
There's no doubt in my mind he knows it's bad.

Is this fellow the "Stahlhelmwerke" resto guy or is that someone else? Just curious, thanks.

Kind of comical is'nt it. They want to have their cake and eat it too. Some creedo they operate by--Yes, I'm a genius helmet faker but I have originals too...yes, you can trust me, they're 100% orig. LOL, what a joke!
