Hello collectors.
I have been offered this m35 helmet. It's Q64 and I'm waiting for serial number on this one from the seller (he doesn't have it in his hands atm).
Eagle is a mach with the Quist shell, a big food eagle.
In the liner is a name and field post number: Gef. Winkelmann 20794.
Staff of Pionier-Bataillon 171 that is part of 71st Infantry Division. This helmet was found around Kalach-on-the-Don. Where 71st inf div. where fighting in summer 1942 with LI Armeekorps that was part of 6th Army. Later the the 71st was destroyed in Stalingrad.
This helmet was found in late 60's. Been in collection ever since. I think that this M35 was in wet area, leather has shrinked. Some rust dipping and one vent rivet is missing. Anyway I have asked for more photos.
In this condition I have been offered for 920€. What do you guys think?
