    A bit of green ...(M38/FJ)

    Just for reference , and as it was a sunny week here in lockdown, I took a few pictures of the camo scheme on my FJR6 helmet, which spends its life on a dark shelf usually, so it's amazing how the sunlight brings out the true colours... just rough and ready snaps with the phone, but give a useful camo colour reference...It is named to a soldier wounded in Carentan on 11 June 1944....

                    I love these FJ regiment 6 camos and I really like the fact that this one is related to the battle of Carentan. Great helmet

                              Great Photos... I wonder if those soldiers knew that they were holding about 80, 90, thousand dollars perhaps more, (2020 time) worth of FJ helmets. In 1946 if there was similar helmet demand and he brought home 4 helmets and sold them, he could have purchased a city block, (in California).
