SD Kreigsmarine Camo

Gents, I was fortunate to acquire this from the vet's neighbor (the vet gave it to him) a number of years ago. Helmet is ET6 - rest is obscured by camo paint under the rim. Same is true for lot #. Beautiful Kreigsmarine gold decal. The helmet has been carefully brush painted with an olive drab paint. I note the pins show a lighter shade of green - ?? - did he paint around them? Named in the rim Boynowski. Nice clean size 57 liner. Chinstrap shows a period resew repair. I note the tie string looks really thin? Seller stated the helmet came from one of the Channel Islands. Do you see any remnants of paint on the band somewhere?
I bet the inner dome isn't painted with gritty paint, correct?

I have a KM completely overpainted in one color (dome too) the liner was taken off and the same reinstalled after the repaint.

Paint remnants on the band shows that it wasn't off in this one. thanks Willi
curious he didn't care to paint the rivets anyway.

Note to Frank P - you have excellent vision. After seeing your comment I went back and closely looked under the rim and Yes - I believe there was a name that appears to be scratched off (mostly) before the paint job and the current name was added. I am truly impressed with your good catch. thanks
