Greetings all you helmet gurus...Maker/size question?

Ive owned a few over the years but this one is a bit odd.

Most of the ones I have owned had some kind of Maker/Size stamp on the right side (as you are holding it looking in). EX Q 56 or ET 54

Are there original examples with no stamps at all?

I dont have the best eyes but I dont see anything even a faint stamp.. Not saying its not there, I just cant see it.


I do see some numbers in the back where the lot number should be but I cant read them.

Curious if you all helmet collectors have run across pieces like this?

It is a big helmet. The liner says 60 and I would agree that only SGT Shultz could wear it. When I put it on my 7.5 US size head it wobbles around a good bit.

This is a Huge Lid.... were Q68s not marked or am I that blind?

Back stamped Q's often have a faint stamp. Looks like a nice helmet, aluminum reinforced liner, no decal. helmet has character. Q 68

Actually, it does have a decal.

I wanted to make sure the shell was good before I posted it.

Not the best pics but I did get the black light out and the lacquer does glow a bit.

You can really see the specks that are missing under the light.
