M33 Helmet Identification

Royal Carabinieri (police)

The stencil is the first model for Carabinieri, in 1938 it was replaced by a new one with bigger flames.

Please post some focused detail pictures of the stencil so that one can tell whether genuine or not. I see a number of scratch marks around the stencil that look suspicious.

The helmet itself is pre-ww2 era produced, not post ww2.

The insignia is that of WW2 Italian Royal Carabinieri (however I have some doubts about the authenticity of the stencil). Post-WW2 Carabinieri insignias don't have the intertwined VE royal cypher in the middle of the "grenade".
