Is it original? (I now that is on today market lot post war repros.)
Any traces of repair or restoration?

Is these badge maybe cleaned?

I do not think it is cleaned but the pictures are dark...these seem to have a weak finish at time where the base metal is exposed if that is what you are concerned about.

From various sources especially the "ODLIKOVANA I ZNAKOVLJE - NEZAVISNE DRZAVE HRVATSKE 1941-1945" (Guide of Croatian orders, medals and insignia 1941-1945). I highly recommended!.

what is the big deal about the patina, throw it in some cow manure and leave it there for a month, they you will have patina and an old smell
