Here is one I have had for many years. I can't find any markings on the shell. I took some pics outside and inside because the paint color looks different inside and outside. Thanks for your thoughts.

Another Hungarian helmet for opinions

Hello Jeff,
I like your helmet! Where is it come from?
The paint IMHO is OK. I think the helmet was a bit cleaned from the outside, that's why the inner paint is a little different. But with the paint I don't seen any issues.
I think it is a MÁVAG helmet.
The liner is also latewar "full" liner and the chin strap has alu buckle.
Can you post some close-ups from the ritvets an the rear metal loop please?
The only strange thing is the lack of markings. There were Hungarian helmets without markings, but they are very rare, but they are different from this helmet (these helmets have no air went bushing). If I'm not mistaken, and this helmet is a MÁVAG piece, it has to have staming in the rear of the helmet.
But I will ask a more experienced collector friend!

Hello Jeff,
so, I asked my collector friend.
He confirmed my thoughts. It is a latewar MÁVAG helmet. With original paint, liner and chin-strap. He said, the helmet must have stamping in the rear. In latewar helmets it can be often seen, that the stamping is not deep, and after the painting the stamping is nearly invisible.
To sum up everything: you have a very nice, complett, untouched latewar Hungarian helmet!
Regards
Gabe

Hi Gabe, I will post some images of the rivets this afternoon. The paint has not been cleaned. The color difference is because some of the pics were taken inside and outside. On the camera they look different but in hand the color is the same inside and out. Thanks to you and your friend for their thoughts!Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

Hello Jeff,
thank you for the pictures!
Very nice helmet!
It was not common, but happened relatively often, that the rivet heads have a - slightly - different colour. Often the rivets, and the other metal parts of the liner were painted earlier/separate than the shell itself. Your MÁVAG helmet has typical MÁVAG rivets, so I would still say, the helmet is untouched!
