    latewar Hungarian helmet

    Hello!

I would like to show you my new Hungarian helmet.
It is an untouched latewar MÁVAG 64 helmet. The darker paint, the full liner (which can be normally often seen in Civil- or Air-Defence helmets) and the buckle of the chinstrap indicates it is a latewar helmet. Interestingly the longer part of the chinstrap was replaced with a German chinstrap by the original owner of the helmet.

    Hope you like it

    Regards
    Gábor

            Thank you Gentlemen!
These helmets are more and more expensive, but I would say, nowadays the normal market price for an untouched WW2 Hungarian army helmet is somewhere between 800-1200 Euros.
These helmets are quite rare, so in many times the problem is not just the money, but you have to wait years, till you find one of these helmets on the market. Often they stay in collections for many years, and when a collection splits up, the helmets have already their new owner. They change owners behind the market scene.
I have waited already 7-8 years to find a helmet like this one.
