Not cheap IMHO, but the anchor and crown are very nice and this pays a premium!

Just curious. I have an Italian Berglasieri helmet that I purchased years ago from a dealer in Italian militaria. At the time it was advertised as a WW2 helmet.

Recently I sent photo of it to the same dealer who didn't recall the helmet but said it could be late WW2 or early post war. He said he served in the postwar Italian army and they used the same style helmet until they were replaced in the early 1980s with the kevlar helmets. I am therefore finding it difficult to determine whether a helmet is late WW2 or early postwar. Any hints? Thanks.
