    Looking for Italian Uniforms

    Hello gents,

I am trying to assemble at least a one of the Italian divisional uniforms on my list. Currently, I am in need of the following items:

Assietta Division Infantry tunic, preferably for a Lieutenant Colonel.
Livorno Division Infantry or Artillery tunic, no preferred rank.
M33 Tropical Helmet Cover for a Size 60 helmet.
    "Sam Brown" Officer's Belt set.

If anyone has or knows where I can find one or all of these items for a decent price, let me know. Thank you.

Collectors Guild gets some nice stuff in and the prices of most Italian uniforms are reasonable if not downright cheap. I don't know if they have th specific units your looking for but the inventory keeps changing.

On the italian Ebay you can find the Sam Brown belt and the tunics with no big problems. About the tunics, since it's always very hard to find exactly what you are looking for, I suggest to buy a stripped jacket and add the missing insignia (you will be able to find original insignia rather easily). After all, the insignia were usually hand sewn so if the job is well done, it's very hard to say if the job has been done postwar or not
No idea about the tropical camo cover. However, why do you need one? It' s not a representative piece of the italian soldier in WW2. Probably it's cool to see, but it was actually never issued (or very seldom). Most camo covers that entered in service were field made, sometime the helmets were painted with a khaky paint but more often they were left as they were issued, in their original grigioverde finish.

I will have to look into that! Never have been able to find a stripped M40 jacket though. I have a pair of Livorno mostrine I'd like to put on a jacket.

Reason for the helmet cover is that I have an immaculate shape Spanish-painted M33 helmet, and because these covers were used during the defense of Sicily in 1943 of which I focus my collection on, I think it would hide the paint yet keep it period.

                Hi Major
remember that Regio Esercito's belts and holsters are brown!
Black belts and holsters are milizia items.
                Ciao
