probably the badge was distributed in March/April 1944 in the San Bartolomeo Barracks of La Spezia....

it appears on the breast pocket of several photos of marò of the "Lupo" during training (with the Hermann Goering Div.) or before departure for the Senio front in November 1944, while I do not know pictures badge brought to the front ....
