These goggles came my way this afternoon...ive looked them up and it seems both armys used them..the only marks on them are on the slightly yellow tinted lenses with ININ flammable on them !..the rubber cushions are missin round the rims...any idear on value ?..thanks in advance Semovente..

For me, if these are italian, they ' re private purchesed, i have a pair of ordnance goggles, and they' re a little bit different.
Or they ' re german.

IMHO they're Italian WWII but they lack the rubber around the lenses.PaoloM

Well while on the subject folks..i have these goggles aswell..i've had them years but never found out what they are..but someone did say Italian to me...so ??...thoughts please.....Semovente..

More..they are trimmed with brown fur & tan cloth on the sides ..grey leather strip joins the two yellow tinted lens with metal frames ..tan elastic strap fasterns at rear.

Consider that most of the goggles that surface to the market are of civilian origin.
These were made for pilots, for car or motorcycle drivers... But of course military personnel could purchase these goggles privately and use them as well.

So all depends on the questions you make.
Are these goggles strictly military? No
Can these goggles be used on an italian WW2 uniform? IMHO yes, at best on an officer or a pilot uniform

Here's another pair of goggles in their original box. These belonged to an italian military pilot in the '20s-'30s, but I cannot tell if he used them in service or in its free time

Thanks Ironcrown.....i was thinking along the lines of private purchase..so all doors are open as to their use etc ..but very possible that they have been used for an officer ...fur trim etc !...nice goggles you posted ...i have some similar ...one set has the tin & spare sun lens to fit the goggles the others are an unissued pair of sun goggles for Italian troops...Semovente

Two more types...the top one is a simple fold up early plastic sand goggles in a paper packet...the bottom one's have grey green leather ...& the lens glass has 'Umbria' marked on them..they fold up to fit in the brown leather cloth pouch.
