Hi, I have personally never seen one like this, does anyone know what this is? A customer brought it in for me to identify. Thanks for your help, always appreciated!

Could you tell me what that is? Supposedly his grandfather brought it back from WW2.

"six italians, dressed in rather unusual diving suits and equipped with materials of laughably little cost have swung the military balance of power in the Mediterranean in favour of the Axis".

This dagger came back into my store today from the daughter of the GI who brought it home from Europe in WWII. If I have time tomorrow, I'll post some photos of these things and the rare Italian Dagger. 100% original from the family.

nice original example.I have one for sale now on ebay.unfortunately for me prices for italian daggers went down.
regarding this dagger you can see the shield of the associazione nazionale mutilati di guerra(3 swords)maimed in war association(mostly in 1 ww)
a special fascist milizia legion was created with maimed veterans.
officer wore a silvered dagger and nco a bronzed one.
on the blade there is the marking FROSOLONE that is a small village in the southern region of Molise where these daggers were made.the village is still a knife manufacturers place.
original daggers are of less quality than the faked ones!the original wrere made of a metal grey league and then silvered or bronzed I believe with a electrolytic finish.
for further info please contact me.

Hi, thanks for the info. Its definitely the silver one. It's has most of the silver factory finish. I also got his Ike jacket, German civilian binocs, an Italian starter gun and a German para knife all together with it, along with a little booklet showing her father in a group picture from boot camp.
