Hello everybody. I've just seen this tunic up for sale in snyderstreasures.com, that used to belong to an Artillery Lt named ALTO PIZZRRELLI. I'm very surprized and curious about the collars tabs (blue and white)..According to the seller, the tabs are coloured like this to "honor" the fight against Greece. I'm Greek myself and I haven't heard about such a thing before. Any further info would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Nikos

Thank you Mufasa. That is correct. So nothing "honorable" to these tabs, as mr Snyder said (by the way, I've heard that he has passed away...)
The tabs are for 48th Infantry Division "Taro", part of wich (after December 1941) The tabs are for 48th Infantry Division "Taro", part of wich (after December 1941) was 48th artillery regiment (the only artillery unit of this Division). So the tunic should be worn by an Lt of this Regiment. Thank you anyways!

Hallo hibacusa
Undoubtedly this pre-war jacket is original. In fact, the black velvet collar edged with yellow-orange, the buttons, the shoulder straps and the rank's badges are fine. But there is a question: I do not see the yellow piping to the cuffs. Perhaps is it only the bad quality of the picture? The divisional collar patches are credible and their condition reflects the clean jacket. They add a certain value than a non-divisional arty jacket, however we are talking about a very common jacket. What is its price? Here, therefore, the whole game is to check the stitching of the collar patches and to understand the reason for the absence of the pipings to the cuffs. In any case, a jacket in my opinion, whose value is no more than euro 150.
Best regards
