Italian War Merit Cross For Review

    Hello!
What are your opinions on the authenticity of this Italian War Merit cross and the ribbon? I was told it was from the fascist era. I am concerned about the ribbon ring and the weld on it, as it is not super common among the cross examples I have seen.
    Thank you!
    (Sorry about the massive pictures).

The ribbon ring I am suspicious of:

original war merit cross (type unmarked) the ring is ok and the ribbon is original
this cross is real common; the rarest type is the Z with crown marked; exist marked
with M and other letters. The same cross exist with different type of font words and
in the same type for the military bravery with the words "Al Valore Militare" with the
total blue ribbon. The cross "Al Valore Militare" is the lowest grade of the medal
    "Al Valore" grade bronze.
    cheers

"six italians, dressed in rather unusual diving suits and equipped with materials of laughably little cost have swung the military balance of power in the Mediterranean in favour of the Axis".
