Unknown Italian medal.

Hi gents,

my nephew sent me these images of a medal he obtained.

With the name of Lorioli,Milano on the reverse one would have to think it is an Italian award.I know this company made the Italian/German North Africa award in WWII.

First,is it a military award and also is it original or fake.

I have to admit I have no idea so any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's an original CSIR Cross, an unofficial commemorative decoration for the italian expeditionary corps in Russia.
Unfortunately all the white finish (paint) on the core is gone.

The paint is very fragile.
