Bulgarian M36

Gents...picked up this sleepy old Bulgarian M36 helmet...not had one before !...dont know a huge a mount about them...has decal remains on one side...also paint seems original ..as does the liner etc....any idear on the going price for these ???....cheers Semovente..

Hi . Looks OK for me, with original paint. Many of them on ebay each week ; Around 40 Euros ?

This is one of the three types of Bulgarian helmet M36: M36C precisely, in this case with the second type of inner with six tabs, each with three holes, mounted on a strip of leather. The shield in the national colors theoretically was abolished in 1940. The helmet has remained in use until 1972, sometimes with the front red star and/or with the national shield hand-painted over the front bolt:

No more than 30/50 euro currently, depending on the type of inner, the state of the paint and the conservation of the shield.
