Hello semovente! From the fews information found in the web it should be the badge of the 141reggimento fanteria Catanzaro, created in 1940 was sent in the same year to Libya ( part of the division Catanzaro), the reggiment was completely destroyed during the defence of Bardia in 1941.Originally posted by Semovente View PostGents ...lookin for any info on this Italian colonial badge...thanks...

Bit more info found on 64thCatanzaro ...it seems it was a truckborne infantry Div..that was made up of the following units
141st infantry regt
142nd infantry regt
203 artillery regt
64th machine gun batt
64th mixed engineer batt
64th anti tank comp
They trained for a mere two months before been sent into the front line around the Buq Buq area & it was there in Dec 1940 that this short lived unit was destroyed in the fighting with the British desert army.Comment
