Gents found this little pouch today at flea market...about five inches long one & half deep..three compartments inside...loop on rear ..one missin..curved shape...in that green leather used by Italian army...iam thinkin pistol ammo ??..your thoughts please....oh yes bought for £5...

Yes, this is the "giberna M. 1899 per cartucce di pistola", but the package you have is not correct;
- it is of French manufacture,
- Italian cartridges were packed in little boxes of six units and the "giberna" contains three boxes.
