      Germans used italian camo during the war, even in Normandy (namely as far as I know, by the SS HJ Division).
      But I don't think that this is the case. The cover is well made and makes me think about a serial production, not a field made piece. Also, the holes for the foliage as far as I know were introduced in camo covers after the war.

        Three specimen of the same camo cover for S. Marco NLFs made in three
        different periods of the 70's and 80's. No one of this pattern has been ever
        produced in the war time or by the Germans.PaoloM
