A Question about a helmet insignia

I picked this up from a friend. I believe it has the insignia of the Fascist NSKK equivalent. Am I correct?

To get it a little more straight:
The metal badge goes on shoulder boards.
This type of badge has nothing to do on a helmet.

Yes Tankredi your dead right !..my error..they were worn on shoulder boards not as collers & as said not on helmets.!!..i was thinkin of German Reichs bahn who have winged wheel collers !....

So at best the badge is on the helmet since 40 years.
But it still doesn't belong there.

Metallic badges on Italian m16 helmets were only used years 20 and early 30ies.
They looked like this:

To me your helmet is a SCW used specimen to which a collar tab badge has been added many years after by a collector or probably by a vendor of the shell in order to increase the prize.
