Hi fritziii, this is not a WWII medal, it is a Vets medal given to the Camice Nere ( black shirts) Who fought during 1936 in Africa Orientale (eastern africa- that was named Italiana "A.O.I" after the 1936) to conquer Ethiopia.
Your medal was given to Vets of the 215 legion of black shirts that was part of the 4th division CCNN "3 gennaio" ( there were 5 division).
On the back the name of the places of main battles (amba alagi/taga taga/amba aradam/ascianghi)on their way from Macalle to Addis Abeba .
