    Italian Dagger with Polished Scabbard

    Hello

    Any thoughts on this dagger?

    Firstly is it pukka and secondly if it is - what unit?

    Is this a Model 1932 Italian Facist Dress Dagger with dress scabbard?

    Anyway this dagger is looking for a new home.

      Yes , is MVSN '32 dress model, to be sure that is "pukka" a close up photo of fascio could help.

          Better not unscrew!
          The material of the screw is rather soft and by unscrewing it you might leave some nasty scratches to the head of the srew.

          What does "pukka" mean?

            Hello

            Pukka is an English army slang word meaning genuine or very good. From the days of the Indian Raj. I think it actually means well cooked hence very good

            So can I assume that the dagger is genuine?

                Yes Its a term that is Indian in origin !....as said its.from the days of the British Empire...karki is also of the same in it use as a term for something from that time....cheers
