Italian ww 2 bag help needed

A WAF member told me that this is an italian bag. Anybody knows what kind of bag that could be ?

Yes it is a Borsa per corredo per le armi a pied. It was used with the M29 and later the M39 packs. It held clothing and other personal items. The strap allows the bag to be locked.

I agree with Camerata Jeff Leser, I have one that had seen service with the Germans as it had a German name on it before it came to the UK SSR as a trophy/ carrying something by a British service person. There are several variations using less and less leather as the war progressed.
