    Italian Rank Chevrons

Are these from WW2? Are they meant for a uniform or something else? They are small and measure a little over 1 1/2 inches (3.81 cm) wide.

    Thanks.

Very nice, these are a couple of rank for corporal, introduced in 1940, reduced size.

Thank you. Were the reduced size meant for wear on the 1940 combat tunic?

IIRC, these are not for wearing on tunic sleeves, but were worn above the breast pocket of shirts, on berets, etc. I will check tonight, but the Mod 40 rank insignia were larger than this very small size.

Jeff these issued later, were worn either on the sleeves or on the breast or on the
caps. Not all the larger ones were replaced.PaoloM
