This came with the cased Order of the Crown. Is it for a Military/Political Order?

Most likely.
I don't know how mayor sashes looked like before the war ( e.g., if they had the Savoy shielf on them) but current mayor sashes are very similar to that one.

I had a further look on Web. Mayor's sashes are usually more decorated than your, have a look here:

On the other hand, the size seems to be almost the same. Maybe the lower part (with the embroidery) has been cut away?

At first it could also appear as something related to veterans or something else but, at least, I would totally agree with Ironcrown, it belonged probably to the Mayor of Davoli, a small village close to Catanzaro in Calabria region and someone cutted the end , the main fringes area.
