Italian "NAVAL" Helmet

A friend of mine is looking at this helmet and would like some input if it is any good or not.. Thanks for any Help..

If the weather should clear up before I have to take the helmet back, I will get some "sunshiney" pictures, have about 5 inches of snow and still snowing.

Looks OK to me, even if the stencil is neither a decal nore a spray mask applied stencil. Looks like it was painted on free-hand.

Could you please check the code in the neck of the helmet shell?

WW2 period for sure. Very strange the hand made stencil, not common. PaoloM

The only markings I could see on the neck of the helmet is right at the edge and looks like M R M or M K M

MRM is one of the typical stamps used only on Navy helmets.
