Any help with this one is appreciated... seems to be a minefield. The center bottom leaves are damaged slightly, to explain the asymmetry. Thanks...

Blue Division Medal

Well, this isn´t a medal made during the war. This is a nice replacement item for veterans made at least 10-15 years after 1944, when the originals were manufactured by Diez & Co, the only one firm contracted by the spanish Government to produce them.
For decades some researchers said these had been made in Germany in 1944, wich is a wrong opinion, obviously. Nowadays we know these medals were made by Saez, a small firm from Madrid.
Saez´s medals are easy to distingish from originals made by Diez cause the right wing have only 4 holes.
These shample are rarer than Diez´s medals but price use to be the same (around 100 euros in Spain).
Anycase, a very nice item probably worn by a veteran.
