    Spanish Facist Badge

    Hello,

I,m i correct to say this coat of arms is used between 1938-1945.
I compared them with the other coat of arms and it surely match this time frame.
What was the purpose of this enamel badge.lenght is around 10cm.

    Thank you

        Thank you,

So a Car badge it is.
I think its easy to say used till 1975 but the design is clearly the 38-45 pattern
After 45 they used a other design coat of arms.
left is 38-45 the right one is 45-77

            This is basicly not true..

This pattern Coat of Arms of Spain is the design used under Franco's Regime 1939-1945 the Bureaucratic Variant.
Franco,s regime was a fascist state.
Not military related but still a fascist badge.

Franco's regime was not fascist, only extremely conservative, yet reactionary.
When he became head of the Falange (after Primo de Rivera's execution), he abolished all progressive ideas that the Falange took from Italian fascism (e.G. like cooperative economy system, relocation of farmland, etc.). He even put together the Falange movement with the Carlists, 2 political movements that apart nationalism, don't have nothing in common.
Franco destroyed the Falange, he used the movement as a marionette to get further military and economic aid from Italy and Germany.

Back to badge above, in the claws the eagle holds the symbols of Isabella of Kastilia and Ferdinand of Aragon. You can see these coats of arms on many mediaval buildings in Spain.
The falange put the two emblems (bow and yoke) together, hence creating the emblem for they movement.
The separated emblems in your badge have nothing to do with the Falange.

                Ok great explenation.

So i will not call it fascist or falange but we can say its the coat of arms used by Spanish state between 1938-1945 after 1945 a other pattern was used

btw a lot of designs to find and i have to admit some nice ones between them
                But thats a other story..

                Thank you

This pattern is from 1977 to 1981.

                    Thank you,

One of the many designs indeed.
You can see clearly the difference on the eagle etc compared to my badge
