Italian Adrian War of SPAIN???

Hello to all,
I found this helmet Adrian Italian model.
The frieze front has been removed and the holes were closed, also, the few traces of color suggest that it was used by Spanish troops during the War in Spain.
These two details make me think that it is, but I'm not an expert in this kind of helmets.
I ask for your help.
